from Vauxhall that is.
Firstly, Hello one and all.
I'm taking charge of my first VW on Tuesday, a mk 2 1.6 Driver.
I've been driving Vauxhall's now for the last five years and fancied a change.
Is there anything in particular I should look out for before I commit to buying?
-
yeh, the corsa drivers who always wanna take you on!!!

They try that now
I drive a Nova at the moment and they appear to like chasing me all over the place.
Then soon after, they find out the hard way that is is running a 2.0 16v "Redtop" that is pushing the 175 bhp mark!!
-
nice
anyway welcome, and get ready to enjoy the world of why does that do that and not that?

They have their little "Quirks" then?

It's the shape I like, I like the look of "Boxy" shaped cars and the mk 2 Golf seems to be a good alternative.
Nice, simple clean lines.

Alternative????

that's fine with me.
I've had a few cars like that in the past. I believe they call it "Character"
-
By Alternative, I simply meant a different manufacturer that had made a decent looking car that wasn't all curves and bulges.
It was made back in 1990 but still looks great in my opinion.

Is there anything serious to look out for on the mk2 then?
-

Well, fingers crossed as at the end of play tomorrow I should have my new Mk2 sat on the driveway
Depending on the weather on Wednesday, I'll stick a few pics up.

It's now on the driveway, woo hoo!
Needs a good clean as it had to make it's way all the way from Devon, but after that I'll get some pics posted.
