Title: cant get reverse

right as it says in the subject i cant seem to get my golf into reverse and all the gears are really hard to get so i was thinking that it must be the bushes and that i should get a repair kit, now i am also getting a load of stuff from euro car parts, and was wondering if i have the right thing or is there another reason why i cat get reverse???   heres the link, its right at the bottom of the listand if i get this it will be over 100 quid so i get carriage free  :grin: :grin:

try selecting it manually before buying anything....if your looking at the car from the front, with the g/box to the right hand side you want to pull the selector towards yourself and then push it to the far right and that will select reverse.

my g/box is nuked and even after a full bush kit and alignment i still dont get it properly - pops out after about 2s and seems to want a minimum speed of 20mph in reverse!

well its fixed now and it feels really good and theres no second gear crunch  :cool:
