Couple of things from a Sunday afternoon tinker....
Was fitting autochanger, disconnected -ve lead - oh crap, I bet this headunit has a code. Connected back up and asked for a 4-pin code aaaahhhhh :-[ Never had one. Anyway thought I'd have to go via VW to get it off the chassis/VIN number but then after a few hours of being reconnected I starded the car up and just thought out of interest I'd turn the radio on and it came straight on with no need for a code ???. Does it only need a code if its connected up to a different car then and if you connect it back up to your own then after a few hours it assumes its not been knicked and therefore works without the need for the code?
Also - those of you with an autochanger fitted, where did you connect the earth up to? Is there somewhere near the headunit or do I have to go through the bulk head?
Minor point - but will complicate routing cable to rear, my 40% rear seat split doesn't fold (Recaro's). Feels like the handle has disconnected from the lever it lifts. Any thoughts?
Cheers in advance
