If u wanna modify ya wheel arches, ruin ya turning circle and make the mk3 Golf EVEN WORSE at handling...

go ahead.

I advise against it. ... 17's max

I agree with Black GTi only I think 15s are the Max. For handling, unsprung weight etc... If you're prepared to sacrifice your driving experience for cosmetic reasons go ahead though. Design of the alloys makes a big difference to how big they look. I park next to a GTi with 5-spoke 17s at work, mine are VW Sport 15s, the design with 8 forked spokes (becomes 16 spokes at the rim) they clearly look better albeit mine is lowered 30mm and does not have the cheap plastic wheelarch trim of the GTi...  ;D

dont u go dissin' my plastic wheelarch trim... those were all the rage in the 90's!

Corsa's still have em LMAO!!!

anywayz, I read yesterday that the MAXIMUM size wheel U can fit on a Golf Mk3 is 19"

... good luck fitting it tho!  ???

I would have to agree with tdi, 15's are the max you should look for on a mk3 unless you want to completely destroy the handling. It will tramline like a haddock on crack!
