Title: New Re-Map is evil
Post by: frosticles on 29 February 2004, 09:13
Had another re-map carried out on my PD150 on Thursday night by the ever helpfull Simon Coe. Didn't have a chance to play with it till yesterday afternoon. All I can say is that the dictionary's have to be re-written in their description of "Evil" I thought the other programs were good but this thing is like a Rottweiler in an extremely P1ssed off mood. Pulls and pulls and pulls. I have to say, CHUFFED! Going to book the car for a rolling road session in the next 2 weeks just to see what it's doing. Got to be very close to the 200 mark with the added K&N.

How much boost is the car running as standard? and what will it be once the car has been chipped?

Not too sure what boost it's running but the hissing and chuffing has certainly got louder.

Took the wife off the insurance cause she says it scares her. The premium stayed the same with the mod after the wife was removed.

Or could just go and buy a cheap VR6, heard they are cheap as chips now, ?1000 should cover it.

200bhp, sounds good,

I had a race witha nice jazz blue 1.8 turbo on saturday night, he was pissed on from the start and when he eventually caught up on the motorway i think he was unhappy to see clouds of smoke from me as planted the right foot. i need to put a TDI badge on the back of muine, i want pople to know they have just been done by a diesel.
