Title: downpipe or 4branch

i have a 1990 8v gti and my downpipe is blowing so i went to an exhaust place for a price and they quoted £150ish to supply and fit but am i right in thinking that you can get a stainles 4branch for around this money if so are they any good and what would be the best make or if they are poo how much of a pig is it to fit a standard downpipe cheers

hi you can get a half descent one for about 200 quid mate, and about fitting its not too bad aslong as the bolts are not seized on the mani. Otherwise u might have to take the head off (new gaskets,oil,filter etc) which is time consuming and can be costly

ave got a raceland 4branch thats nearly new if ur interested 125 quid will snap it up

just did manifold gasket on my driver-bit of a pig of a job but if u can get the car on a lift-loads of wd type spray and a good socket (dont even try with a cheap one) you should be alright.
