Mk1 golf cab, 1985. running speakers to front door pockets, i currently have nothing there at all. want to add speakers where they would have been originally.
ok guys the problem i have is finding out how to run the speaker wire from the headunit. where does it run in order to connect to the door pockets?
i have no issues regarding the correct terminals on the loom, i have found the ones i need. but where do i run the wires (and how) so that they go along the back of the dash and then out of the chassis across the door hinge and then back into the door so tha i can run the wire to the speakers?

so after posting i went out to have a look near the bonnet pull lever and by removing the carpet and a bit of wire tracing i've managed to fix the problem, i now have one speaker in the front.. 2nd speaker will be wired up when i acquire one :)

cant believe how much difference just one 6x4 speaker makes when the roof is down, i can actually hear my music in the front now without having the volume turned right up... i must organise myself now and collect a speaker from a mate :)
yay... go me!!

hahah.. erm... hopefully get the other speaker fitted when i collect one that i think my mate has... :) yay!

6x4's in the doors of a mk1? were they that size as standard?

as far as i know, yes... well in my cab yes.. behind speaker pockets next to door pockets.
