Hi, am new, have owned my vw for a year now, its a 1989 8v gti in black with 15" BBS - its got 182,000 on the clock and still goes like stink - I got it for £475 and its the best money I have spent. It has electric windows, CL and everything works still! I am going to keep maintaining it and hopefully start repairing the numerous hidden rust patches etc. Since I got the Golf, I have done three oil changes and it has been serviced twice (in 10,000 miles), its had the BBS wheels put on, new stereo and standard speakers, new disks and pads, new front bearings, new in-tank fuel pump and it was well looked after before I bought her. Oh and she only runs on BP Ultimate/ shell optimax - although its stupidly expensive.
