Title: My New Wheels Here After A 7 Month Wait

After a painfull 7 month wait I picked up my car from Motorprovider Yesterday,
I spent 6 hours cleaning it today and snapped off a few pics.

Looks very nice, Enjoy..

Just put four Michelin PS2s on myself, incredible difference but no rim protection compared with the Contis, so make sure to stay away from the kerbs..or  :cry:

why would you put 4 tyres on yourself? are you a weightlifter or something?  :wink:

I've got Michelin on mine too - much much better than the last Ed30 which had Dunlop Sport Maxx  :sick:

Dear Mr Peskarik

In response to your recent communication, I comment as follows.  :laugh:  :laugh:

The PE2 is the Pilot Exalto 2 - this is sporty type of tyre, but is not a "full-on" sports tyre, it uses an assymetric tread pattern, similar to the PS2.

The PS2 is the Pilot Sport 2 - this is the extreme sport tyre, and is only available for 18" or larger diameter rims.  It is the "real deal", in terms of outright sports performance.  It is an OEM fit on high performance saloons like RS4s, BMW M3 & M5, and is also OEM fit on super-sports coupes, such as Porsche.  IMHO, it really is the best tyre on the planet.  Absolutely nothing comes close.

It was taken out for a cruise soon after the pics dont worry the disks were soon back to the right colour.

I had ordered it with the cruise, no freebee I am affraid.

The tyres are the PE2's. no rim protection at all.

Yes I am a dedicated when it comes to keeping it looking its best.
6 Hours was just the exterior.

I think you'll find the rim protection is quite good.  Both Continental, Dunlop and Michelin now use a thicker "full" sidewall rim protection, unlike Pirelli, which still use the pathetic little "ridge" type of rim protection, which gets ripped off immediately your rims merely stare at a kerb.

Anyhow, how do you find the PE2s - or havent you pushed it hard enough to find out yet?

I havent pushed them yet, still running the car in.

They feel ok though, one thing I have noticed there isnt alot of road noise from them.

I've pushed mine. BOth high speed autobahns and twisty mountaneous roads. They are just fine. Not much road noise from them. The rim protection works.  :smiley:

The breaks on Ed30 are, on the other hand, a bit week.  :sad:
