Hi,
I have just bought a Mk4 Golf GTI 1.8T (2000). I think it looks a little standard and like the R32 kit, but am not so sure about the front bumper. What other 'sportier' bumper options are there that are relatively subtle?
Also, if I bought the R32 rear bumper, I presume I would need to change the exhaust to twin outlets - has anybody done this and if so, how much did it cost?
Many thanks,
Chris

u can but the R32 rear bumper with out the exhaust cut outs but then it wouldnt be the same  have u tryed looking at bodykit bumpers???
-
There are many bodykit options out there! Just Google "Golf Mk4 Styling" and loads will come up!
One good company I found was STX.

I really like to anni front bumber (or body kit for that matter). Only problem with getting the R32 / anni body kit is that (in my opinion) you look a little silly as your "trying" to be an anni / R32 model when your CLEARLY not. I think if your going to get a body kit, get something that isnt on another Golf model.
Thats my view anyways.
Good luck!

i agree with alan, also in the world of dubs/moddin etc it pays to be diffrent and every one has the R32 kit, dont go ott in te body kit tho as many dubbers will not b very happy

just body colouring the valances can make a big difference

Yep, I agree with Topher - colour code the valances. Cant get much more subtle than that. This is what I'm planning to do - replace the standard valances and get them sprayed.
-
What sort of money are we talking to spray current valances with all the sanding down and painting etc?
...

Keep an eye on Ebay and Forums for a Votex Valance

depends what the body shop is like.. i would say about £50 maybe a valance for a good job..
-
That's not bad price wise probably worth it. Is it worth buying two new valances or just sacking mine off and taking them into garage? Can prob drive around with no valances for day or two.I'd spray em myself but my cars silver so will need to b a good job!
-
did you ever get this done ? im thinking about getting it done at the same time as my cars going into the bodyshop for a front bumper repair after i decided i just wasnt close enough to a wire fence
-
i never did it personally mate, i just bought two used anniversary valances already sprayed in silver £100 each. id definitely colour code tho, silver looks a lot better with colour coded valances!

i got rep anni front valance and since mine tdi i got my anni and rear one colour coded aswell looks alot better and makes it a bit different payed 100 quid aswell for both to get sprayed
