Or Red Robin.............im asking you two because you both seem to know what youre talking about!!
Right .......the wires that are under the accellerater pedal - any idea what they are?
-
Nah, easy one this. The accelerator pedal is a "drive by wire" accelerator rather than the traditional mechanical linkage arrangement of older cars. :nerd:

You learn something new everyday Hurdy :lipsrsealed:

And don't forget the wires for the kickdown switch on DSGs.
-
Those wires look a bit vulnerable being exposed.
By the way, thanx for the compliment but T_T knows much more about the 'mechanicals' of cars than I do. I do know a fair bit about the Mk5 GTI though and I'm constantly learning more every day from people like the guys here.

Yeah, I agree. I was very surprised when I first saw them like that. A bit of VW penny pinching, by not enclosing them in some conduit.

The good thing about this particular forum is we all share knowledge freely, and also listen to and respect others opinions, and accept that they may be different to our own opinion. That is why I like this place.

I disagree TT, your opinion is wrong.
