Hey everyone. after the last year owning a Rover 200Vi and a BRM, which is still on my drive. although they are pretty dam fast cars for the money thought its time to move on to something a little more grown up and stylish. bought myself a nice 3 door GTI turbo, 57K on the clock with a new MOT for 4950 yesterday. Doesn't go like the rover does at the top end, but plenty of low down torque and no need to rev the nuts off it (but is nice to do).
chuffed to bits with it; sooo much nicer to drive! anyway...hello to everyone

Welcome to the forum and yes I'm another ex rover driver... them k series do like high rev's!! Mine was a 218 (non vvc tho) too... was good until it nearly killed me!! don't drive head on into other car's with one... the safety features dont help you when doing this.. as I found out

Welcome mate !
Good to see another MK4.

heyy great to see an array of rover fans. BRM is still on drive. bought the golf as the head gasket has gone (the irony) after fairly brief overheating. no time to take it off the raod and fix, so bought the golf and fixing the BRM on the side fto flog for a good price. she's a minter. not compared to the golf though. LOVE IT. check the MK 4 forum about my problem though pls...i have used the good old seach function by the way.lol...Thanks, Andy
