why is it know the steering wheel airbag is Black   mines grey along with the rest of the steering wheel?, why have they changed it, was it a model year change or a replacement airbag if the origonals been deployed???

How come you've got a black VW emblem or is it just the lighting?

Nice choice of colour! Would love to have the highline too!

God damn how many more diagrams can they fit onto those wiper stalks?!?!?!?

An yeah the black centre on the wheel looks a little strange  :undecided:

it looks grey inside the car, I think its just the light or the flash.

As for the "highline"?? I think this is where the Aussie ones are different. All GTi's come standard like this in Aus (apart from the sunroof, DSG, bi zenons, leather and iPod adapter I had added)

I'm going to give it a god wash this weekend and take some really good photos so you guys can see what differences there are if any.

I thought they were for the US market - the yanks even need instructions printing on every single sheet of this:

Highline MDF only has been added to aussie spec cars for the 08 model. Before that you had to get satnav to get the biggger MDF

Pretty sure I have the standard options as you too, closer Oz than you think

Sweet GTI, candy white is really starting to appeal to me more each time I see it!

Its only available in Aus (the god wash) seeing as this IS God's country....

My old man called me last night asking me if I had planned any mods yet (only done 1100 k's) to which I replied possibly chipping it later on. He mentioned he had found something on Ebay he was going to get for me.... stay tuned!!

stay away from any performance mods found on Ebay; its not worth the risk to your motor :afro: unless its someone selling something OEM

How fast does that go?
Title: Re: 2008 photos
Post by: Chardy on 12 September 2007, 00:57
depends on the track and how the car is set up but if I remember correctly its about 260 kmph which is about 160mph.

its not about top speed though, its how fast it goes around corners and stops - and this is what it does very well.

I love the upswept tail pipe - is that for extra downforce?

Surely wont that effect the rear downforce with that downpipe blowing straight at it!?   :undecided:
