No claims can only be used on one vehicle usually.

Other option is a multicar policy, getting an immobiliser fitted might be a small price to pay if it saves you a lot on insurance.

What are the two cars you're trying to insure?

Thought it would be something like that.

My advice would be to insure the galaxy with your full NCB then insure the golf on a classic policy, HIC or A-plan do classic insurance on these because they're over 15 years old. Usually limited to 7-8k miles per year.

I got a quote of about £200 on a second classic car with 0 ncb.

Give it a go, you'll be surprised i think.

If you are using your no claims on one car then you cannot use it against another but it is still worth mentioning to your insurer as it can still help, we run schemes which will mirror the no claims from your main car as long as you have no fault claims within the past 3yrs.

As Stomper said though, based on the cars in question his advice is very good as the mk2 will often qualify for classic insurance and no claims bonus usually makes very little/no difference to classic insurance.
