How about this?

CO2 levels might be a bit she-ite.

depends on what u want, carbs will add more bhp for little buck, and cleans the bay up quite nicely, once there setup properly they have good mpg and keep the insurance down. also the driving charatisics of the car will be the same.
whereas a vr6 adds a load more power but does the opposite of above

i'd say get mk3 2.0ltr 16v on carbs..not too much front end weight but a silly amount of power if done right..i drove a mates mk2 2.0l 16v on k-jet and i was blown away, on carbs you'd be laughin!

both are readily available, and both produce loads of power, but if i were on a budget i'd go for the 16v2.0ltr on carbs, cheaper insurance, cheaper fuel bill, and simular performance... but you'll have to make sure you get the carbs set up propperly, and dont skimp on having it tuned and cams etc, then you'll have a beast!

yeh agree with above post, fork out at the beginning, and reap the benfits whilst your flying past a brand new 325i :smug: lol

Whats wrong with an ABF 20 16v On injection!! Looks stantard can give 160 bhp with just a cam swap and is plenty light in the front end!!! Carbs take a lot of messing about with and fall out of tune regular! Or TSR are now offering a cross flow 8v head and turbo charger combination?? Would be some thing different maybe!

carbs are fun! stopping at the lights, popping the bonnet and fiddleing with the carb! all before they change! what fun! get a carb!
