Just wondering out of curiosity which people like better? I say big. But the small ones are starting to grow on me.
-
i did go through a phase of liking big bumpers, but im sticking with the small ones
-
big bumpers with out any hesitation. If you want small bumpers...get a mark 1
-
depends on the colour for me!
-
they work better with darker colours (small bumpers)

generally I agree, however there are exceptions; for example helios blue looks best to me with smalls and royal blue with big
-
yea i can see that!
i prefer big, but if the car is dark and has small bumper then thats ok, but would prefer it with big bumpers.
I dont agree with cars that should have small bumpers, having big ones. Like a D reg GTI fitted with big bumpers. i just dont think its right! bizarely!
-
My first Golf was a small bumper and the one I have now is a big bumper but I prefer the small bumper model as there are fewer of them because so many people have swapped small for big bumpers on early MK2's
-
i think small bumpers look cool and not a lot of people have them as they have gone to big bumpers but i think big bumpers look better!!
-
depends what look your going for really,i think big bumpers look meaner and i prefer them, but my mate has a really old skool looking mk2 with a custom exhaust running down the side and all smoothed out etc, and his would look stupid with big bumpers. but mines like big and bulky and mean just the way i like em, never been into smoothing things, i like my door handles and number plate recess etc...
-
mmm big ones for me, bigger is better a sa general concept
I think big ones suit the car a lot better looks a lot more modern and nice poise
-
I go through phases of liking small bumpers more than big, personally though i think small bumper cars should stay small bumper and big bumper stay big bumper!
Best car to wear small bumpers is the mk1 although they look good without as well!
-
Big bumpers are SO 10yrs ago... time is right now to move on for a fresher look, small bumpers in perfect nick are the way to go! just my opinion , sorry if Ive offended anyone....

While looking for a Mk2, Im ONLY considering those with big bumpers. Praps you have to get big bumpers out of your system, a bit like how your first ferrari HAS to be red, then you can move on. LOL

Hehe... Sorry for the iranian standard hijack.
-
lol looks like an mr2,
yeah i agree with the small bumpers on the older cars. someone had put patterns on mine before i got it (its a d reg) Im going with the old skool look, and will be getting some small bumpers for mine.
-
haha, mr2 dont buy it.
i go for them both. small is lush when they are decked. big looks good 24/7. but small all the way. untill i get my 8v.
-

THE FERARRI WOULD ACTUALY RUN & DRIVE RATHER THAN BREAK DOWN EVERY 15 MINS , THESE TVRs ARE LESS RELAIBALE THEN THE COSSYs NOW
-
I went for small bumpers as you see big bumpers all the time and i just wanted to be different.
-
the mr2 with a ferrari body kit would drive better then a mars bar. the tvr would own it plus that is my dream car even if it does have 3 rebuilds. just lushness.
-
It's either for me I love em both, as long as they are orig. I don't really feel the big bumper mod on an earlier car, if they're small keep small, if they're big keep em big. but then wouldnt the world be boring if we all liked the same things...
I've been looking for a mk2 for a while and at first I was looking for an early mk2 campaign, something about the purity of no plastic door trim, small bumpers and p-slot wheels, I had one years ago and absolutely loved that car but in the end fell for a big bumpered black car which I picked up yesterday and loving it so far
