picking up my brand new red golf gti at 7.30am saturday morning!!
Been doing a lot of reading of best way to keep my new baby clean, all very confusing! bought some Poorboys wheel sealent for those lovely 18" monza wheels, can't decide on what to put on the paint, looking for a deep wet look on the paint.
wondering what the rest of the red guys in here use, or anyone else for that matter!
thanks

You need a good quality wax to get a deep, wet look finish. Autoglym is only a polish but it is a very good product. I have used Meguiars products for some years now and can highly recommend them. Red cars look very good when waxed.

Click on Meguiars Advice and go to the Instant Car Clinic for starters. Be careful though, it's vey addictive once you start cleaning

Autoglym do a great polish for dark cars - Deep Shine I think its called.
In terms of wax, I find the Meguiars NXT wax is excellent and easy to apply and once youve done that use a layer or 2 or pure carnuba to really get the 'wet' look.
The Poorboys range is great and the natty wax is meant to be brilliant for dark cars too!

Ask not what can I wash my car with, but what will I dry it with.
Sonus Der wonders are good, but any decent make will do. Get 2, 1 for hte main drying and 1 for the bits you miss and a final wipe over.
Chamois are soo 2004.
