Post by: jimmyp on 25 February 2004, 20:07
hi need some advice    HELP!!!!!
Upgrading a mk1 1.3 driver using a mk2 1.8 gti as a donor car.
My problem is how to upgrade the supension, what parts from the mk 2 will fit the mk 1? i am aware the rear struts dont fit.

Not the ideal donor car to be honest..........engine and gearbox, but that's about it........

I have put the engine, gearbox, wiring loom and interior into the mk1. The mk 1 still has the orginal  suspension  and brakes,  i will keep the brakes from the mk2 , but what cars can i get supension from? And how much do i have to change?

Many thanks jimmy

if you look on ebay there is some coil overs for a mk1 they would be a good upgrade and should go straight in
