have any of you found a easier way to cleaning a set of bbs ra's than sitting there with a cloth and getting an aching finger? there must be an easier way!!!

I use  an alloy wheel spray and work it in with a paint brush - you can get in all the nooks and crannies and work it all in pretty well. Then just rinse off with loads of water.

However, I do normally end up giving them a good rub with a cloth afterwards to make sure I haven't missed anything!!! Not sure my advice has helped really!!!  :undecided:

if its  a daily driver - sell the bbs and buy something easier to clean

I had RMs for a few months, the looked the dogs when clean, but that was only the once as it was too much bother to clean them!

yeh its a daily driver, used to have the standard steels on it, but got the bbs' reasonably cheap. i like the look of them, but they are just a nightmare to keep clean

have you applied a wheel sealant to them? Something like Poorboys Wheel Sealant will help keep the brake dust to a minimum and make them far easier to clean

totally agre, brake dust barrier from turtle way is suprisingally good, as long as you clean and use it regular...ie once a week or so, and you really need a jet washer and some alloy cleaner, so much easier.

I use parafin or plant deisel to clean mine, learnt that from helping some tarmacers once, they brush deisel on the tools to stop the tarmac sticking!!  Use that and then shampoo/soap after and they like new. Hope this helps

Get some TRF (trafffic film remover) or alloy wheel acid. give it a good liberal dosage and blast off with a jet wash. them abit of metal polish dont hurt just to bring em up nicely!
