Hi Guys!
I've been doing an engine rebuild (for months now!!) on my 1992 Mk1 GTi Cabriolet.. it's had a head skim & overhaul, but I've ended up with a temp sensor or something similar which I can't find a home for... I'd written on it "rocker cover" but cant see it on the "before" pictures! Can anyone have a look under their bonnet and tell me where it goes?...
This is it...

and this is the location of where abouts it seems to go to. Note the other thing on the corner of the rocker cover which i wasn't sure where to attach, so maybe I got that bit wrong too?

Many Thanks if you can shed any light on the situation!!
Chris :)

radiator fan after run sensor, its bolted to a bracket on the inlet manifold somewhere, might have trouble findig a spot to put it since you have a digifant engine!
The link on the rocker cover there is correct, its an earthing plate.

I'm sure mine is next to the oil pressure sender in top of bellhousing(!?) is it the same switch that works the temp gauge on the dash or is mine different cos it's k-jet?
