Iv e just put my new engine and gearbox in. In order to get the clutch cable to connect up i had to adjust the cable to the max otherwise the cable was not long enough to get through the clutch arm.
When i went to try it, the pedal sits quite high. I pushed the pedal down, it gave good pressure, but sunk all the way to the floor, and stayed there. If you give it a little flick, the pedal springs back up like it should, at some rate!
Any idea whats wrong, i have no adjustment left in the cable. I would have touhght release bearing or lever, but the car hasnt been used, all ive done is take the engine and box out and put a different engine, but the same box back on. I had changed over the friction plate but kept the original pressure plate etc from the new engine.
Any ideas? :undecided:

Also, when you pull the lever up by hand, it feels as it should, a nice pressure, and no play.

Possibly something to do with that little plastic clip that goes in the middle of the arm? My pedal sat a bit high before I realised it wasn't on properley after doing my release bearing
