Title: Introducing my daily drives
Post by: Geeman on 24 August 2007, 10:00
Well, I've been lurking on this forum for ages now, buying stuff here and there... so I thought I'd post up some pics of my two dailies...

Here's the Jetta (which is up for sale to make room for impending new project)...

And here's my VR. Only had it a month, but in that time I've done a few things to it to make it a bit prettier!

Look forward to your comments...

luverely VR, nice mods, although if you're gonna de-badge (and I would!!) I'd take the VR6 badge off the back..... then if you get some mug in a SAXO coming up behind you who thinks you might have a 1.6 made to look like a VR you can give 'em the humiliation they deserve.....

great cars mate. I love Jettas , wish there were more gti's about tho'.

IMHO , one slight thing i'd change on the VR is the oversized tailpipe.

Thanks for the nice replies guys...

Bought a few things at E38 this weekend to update the VR... and sourced a full stainless Jetex system for the VR. The existing pipe WAY too big (lost loads of things inside it... dogs, babies, girlfriend, etc) and very boomy at 50-60mph. Fine on the motorway though... so that's on the cards along with some coil-overs and arch rolling / paint with a Vento front end.

The Jetta is retro cool. I love it. Don't want to sell it to be honest... but I've got an idea in my head for a new project and could do with the room as I also have an '89 Mk2 8v in the drive that I need to move too!

Giles.
