I've picked up a MK2 Golf GTI and stripped it to a rolling shell, i've completely filled and smoothed everything, all prepped and ready for spraying.
I've never sprayed a car myself before but I've deliberatley got this project so I can have ago at the whole car rebuild :) Basically I've been given about 12 litres of a baby blue paint but it's a non-water based paint I need to mix it with thinner.
Could someone explain how to mix the paint and also what spray kit I will require? - I have an air compressor already..

hope you have a bloody good air compressor... needs to have a massive tank on it as you will need a huge volume of air in order to spray efficiently. best palce to go is the local finishing supplies shop (place where you get the paint from) and have a chat. the guys at the local one to me helped me and my mate out when we sprayed my works mk1 caddy.. nice matt blue hehe. he had to make his compressor as the one he already had was pants for the job. forget the specs but its bloody noisey!
if not, pop to your local spray shop.
