Title: New golf GTi owner getting insurance, my results
Post by: DaveGTiMK on 21 August 2007, 16:37
I have been shopping around for ages and had very strange results ranging from £430 all the way up to £1750 for insurance.

I tried.
Confused
Autotrader comparison section
morethan
directline
privlage
go compare.com
hastings direct
HIC
Tesco
M&S
The AA
and many many more, as it pays to shop around.

In the end I have gone with Elephant at only £40 bucks more than what I currently pay this is a bonus and it is a pretty good policy, price includes: fully comp, with 27yo missus on provss licence, curt car, protected no claims £250 excess etc etc. I was very shocked and happy.

This proves that it pays to shop around, get yourself a cuppa coffee and a pack of choccy digestives and start searching companies and getting quotes, you'll find that it is well worth it.

I did phone HIC but yes because of the missus on the provi you couldn't quote, hopefully she will pass her test next time, fingers crossed.
