not sure on which to get got the chance of a mint Highline vr6 or a Rallye which is also a tasty motor but not sure on which model,I fancy the VR due to it being a newer car better refinment and that engine, but also a Rallye appeals as well just the cost of parts/panels if anything goes tits up,anyone got any opinions on either of these cars thanks

I had a MK3 VR6 very nice standard car but disapointed with handling. :-\
Much prefer MK2 ;)
-
Go corrado vr6
-
got to be the rallye totaly unique!!!! ;D
-
Rallye :)
-
Rallye with a VR engine 8)
-
Good Combo Just make sure you get the supension sorted so it handles right.
So many wrong conversions out there.
-
yes think the Rallye is top of the list at the mo ;D
-
I vote Rallye
-
Both are very good cars and it depends on what you want from it.
I would go for the rallye myself as they are wicked cars and as long as its a good example of one then its worth buying.
-
i personally would find a Golf limited. ;) if not one of those a rallye would be phat!!!!!!!!!
-
sorry i have a thing about limiteds........ :-[
-
Its the blue trimmed grille that does it for you. ;)
-
and the ten grand they cost :P
-
I would go with the vr simply because the g60's are left hand drive.
If the G60's were right hand drives then deffo go for one.
:D
-
You should have done a poll on this one :P
I'd go for rallye.

I prefer the Rallye but cant decide wether to risk it or not,its just the parts side of things that bother me with them getting on for 15yr old they gotta be getting a bit tired now,the guy wants my valver and a grand for the Rallye pearl blue around 90k 16" BBS alloys brand new coilovers brakes etc full mot,he`s moving house so needs the cash car sounds clean only downside is no charger history, its just my valver is a superb runner is mechanically spot on and needs nothing doing to it whatsoever would last for years as it is,just a few stone chips here and there to make it mint I just have a feeling the Rallye could be like running and paying for a pulsar gti-r kind of thing.but they are a dub after all and if they`re easy to live with what a laugh it would be :)

Funny this really. I've been having the same dilemma for the past few months. Really like the Rallye, bit rarer and don't mind LHD. Decided from many opinions that the G Lader is too fragile for my type of driving.
VR6 is a nice and strong engine, and in my opinion one of the sweetest sounding engines :) Too big and 'clumsy' for my liking though.
Am currently thinking about a Mk2 VR6. Its one very big decision........

well Jelly that is more or less my views not so sure if I could be ar5ed to put the 6 into my mk2 would just by a vr6 with a nice suspension set up,but there again I could put a G60 lump into my 8v mk2,and keep the valver, could buy a conversion for same price as a complete standard Rallye exhaust from VW and still have change for a new charger
-
Agree with you :) Depends if you are drawn by the 4WD of not bothered. My opinion, anything over 220 bhp should be 4WD.
Rallyes different and 4WD, thats what i like personally...........
