hi all im asking on behalf of a friend, he has a golf mk3 he has put a new head unit in but it doesnt go all the way bk bc of the dash a thing sticks out does any1 kno how 2 get rid of this??? any help would b gr8 thanx
-
there's not much room at the back of the dash so the wires will need a bit of help for clearance..... I actually removed the glovebox for better access on mine, a bit of playing and it will go!!
-
so uve got ur head unit in ur glove box??
-
no it's in the normal place..it's just that because space is limited i found it easier removing the glovebox for access
-
oh rite u put the glove box bk in afta? so how did u remove the thing? does it just cum out?? thanx m8
-
for the glovebox there's a few simple bolt's (6 or 8mm i think) first on the undertray and then and the on the glovebox itself and the box just drops out

jus popped another alpine in my mk 3 today, its tight but if u push all the wiring under the cage (so they will be under the stereo unit) it fits no probs
