Title: MK2 seats into mk1?

hi just wondered if the mk2 golf gti seats will fit into a mk1 cabriolet?

mk2 seats still run on the pre fabricated factory welded rails/runners and i guess they are the same width apart as the mk1 so i couldnt see a problem fitting them...

if its later than 83 they'll go straight in, pre 83 the forward/back lever is on the wrong side.  You can still fit them though, you just have to pop the pin across with your finger or swap the lever over :)
