cheers guys, I'm in two minds what to do, my local monkeyboy mechanic, who seems to know a lot about golfs coz he owns one, says that if he was to buy and fit a manual steering rack, it would cost me 140 quid,
however he knows someone who is selling a power steering rack, pump and all that and he will buy and fit the lot for 150 quid
hmmmmmmm what to do?!

the 16v rack differs from the 8v rack in that it has less turns lock to lock

put a post on clubgti just to confirm it
