Hi
When the digi 8v gets up to temp it start to judder, sometimes stalls at lights and idles very badly. The revs dont jump up/down but the revs go real low as if its about to stall - The idle is not steady
Adjusted the Idle screw and still does this most times
Changed plugs, just did a service etc. Im thinking it could be the blue temp sensor. Do these fail on the regular as ive just changed that a few months ago.
thinking leads and dizzy cap?

mine just to dip down and bounce up when i came off the revs, i cleaned the throttle body and the breathers hoses out and its loads better, but my problems wasnt as bad as yours. when the car is running fine at cold by the sounds of it.. unplug the blue temp sensor if the revs change its working if nothing happens it is not working. i got my new one yesterday around £10 from VW get a new seal as well

Could be your MAF, disconnect it and see how that works.

My GSF temp sender failed after a couple of months after i put it in, the VAG one i have in now seems to be lasting the distance.

thinking it could be the MAF.
chers people ill give it a go. Havnt messed with the mk2 in a while. I should know this

check my digifant FAQ, just fiddling with the idle screw without putting the engine into setup mode wont get you anywhere ;)

also check the condition of the crancase breather bung, if there is a split in it it can cause funny idle problems.
