Title: Windscreen resealing
Post by: Lap on 14 August 2007, 12:36
Hi All. I suspect my windscreen seal is leaking. Got somebody coming out tomorrow. I have two options.

1) £35 for the guy to seal the windscreen while still fitted to the car.

2) £58 for him to take it out and seal it then refit it BUT if the windscreen breaks when he takes it out then it'll be another £70 on top for a new windscreen.

The guy reckons that option 2 is the better one surprise surprise!

Any thoughts?

get hold of a 2nd hand screen for about £30

or alternativly if you have fully comp insurance just crack it and get a new one fitted & sealed for about £50 without effecting your no claims
