my power steering is noticably heavier when turning right.
tracking, tyre pressures, rack gaiters and belt are all in A1 nick and there are no other bushes etc that are badly worn. When i had the tracking done it got better than it was.
all the posts i've found mention the above.
whats next? could the camber being out be a factor ? (89 16v)

had it once after a bodyshop repair.. castor was out and legth between the centre of the front and rear wheels was different side to side, other sympton was the steering wheel wasnt self centering, other than that, you got PAS issues...
-
me too - not got to the bottom of it yet though!

i had a similar thing, tunred out to be a worn balljoint, had about an inch of play in it!
-
cheers folks.
have to look into the ball joint thing.

Is the belt slipping!
Tom
-
no it's not.
the belt is brand new and doesn't slip.
it was the same before and after the change.

hi mate hope this helps
it sounds like its the rack thats bend slightly
what you could do with doing is removing your track rod ends from your hubs and see if its still tight when the engines running
you should be able to push the rack freely by hand
hope this helps

good idea mate. i'll give that a go.
