Have a 89 8v and just wondering should ther be a pipe at the very rear bottom end of the air box to collect hot air from the manifold? There is a place there to attach one.I presume it has been removed by previous owner???

yes there should be, not a makor issue i dont think all mine have run fine without, if you can find a piece of pipe then fit one otherwise dont bother uunless you haev cold start or hot start issues.

Thats grand. Will actually go without it.The one I had on the corrado actually cut the loom in a few places which led to all sorts of problems for me.It was one of the old pipes with the wire core for a centre, more like a bloody razor blade.

aye thats the one im sure it gets enough hot air down their anyway,

the only reason its fitted on injection engines is to allow the engine to heat up faster, not really much of an issue in our climate though. Mines been missing ever since I did my 2.0 upgrade and I noticed no difference :)
