Title: Good deal or not? MK4 turbo
Post by: Burgo on 09 August 2007, 15:25
Hey,

Never posted before but have been browsing on the site for a while now, so hi!!

I have a quick question. I'm thinking of buying my mates mk4 1.8T with the following spec:

Golf GTi 1.8T 20v (150bhp)

1999, 3dr Dragon Green Metallic with 5 months tax (Nov-07) valid MOT until (June-08) and has completed 97k miles.

This is a genuine non modified and much loved original car that has served exceptionally well. Only one former keeper.

The car has a full service history with 10 stamps in the service book, the first 7 are the same Volkswagen main agent and the following 4 are from a local trusted garage, completed to required schedule. Major cam-belt service carried out last year including cam belt, ribbed belt, pollen, air, oil filters plus spark plugs.

The specification includes:

Black Recaro sports seats
16inch alloy wheels with front ToyoT1-R directional tyres
Anniversary badge set
Electric windows
Electric tilt and slide sunroof
Heated power adjustable door mirrors
Central Locking with remote control alarm (two key fobs)
Multi-function computer
ABS, p/steering, f/frog lights
Leather steering wheel and gear gaiter
Dark wood trim
Extra rear headrest and full seat belt
New floor matt’s & winter rubber matt’s
Driver, passenger and side airbags

Only negative is intermittent fault on rear wiper (passed MOT)

.
Vehicle comes complete with full Volkswagen book pack (owners manual, service book, etc)

£3,850 ono

Is this a good deal or not? The car is mint and he takes really good care of it, is there anything i should be concerned about given the mileage?

Cheers!!
