there is a button behind my drivers seat on the side of the car.. just behind the door.... wtf is it for?
-
if its the button i think your on about its for disabling the interior alarm i think
-
ah, like if you leave the windows open??
it does have some kinda air wave resemberlance.
-
yeah i think its like if you left a dog in the car or something and then locked it then the dog moving around wont set off the alarm.
-
It's all explained in the handbook
-
It's all in the handbook and a quick search of the forum would have sufficed! :smug:
-
qhat would i search for. "button behind seat" no big deal is it. got the reply i wanted quick enough.
-
if you press that button, it turns the ultrasonic alarm off so if you leave dog/baby/grandma in the car and lock the car, any movement wont set the alarm off. :nerd:
-
thanks guys :D

What crazy person would leave a dog in their car! Maddness I tell you!
-

I like the sound of that...........
I am not sure... Is it the same thing or not.. But ours says the button is to dead lock the car (whats that mean) and also to activate the anti Tow alarm. It has two buttons... Was wondering about this myself just the other day.
Anyone?

I agree. Leather+ dog=

I regularly leave my dog in the boot when parked for 5 mins.
She is very well behaved and never drools over the back seats or even presses her nose against the window.
This button is in the MKIV too. Pretty useful.

I remeber when I first got my car I left a load of mates in the car and had to run off to pay parking ticket, as i ran off I locked it. Obviusly the alarm went off, just as the old bill was walking past, I came back to my car with all my mates standing outside the car with the police searching them, was amussing to me to say the least lol.
