Title: Few Things Dont Work. HELP Please

hi , i recently bought a mint mk2 golf however the tacho  doesnt work and the heated washer jets dont work, are these major, and what is the cost of them? can the washers be bought new from the dealers.

I'd check the fuses first! the washer jets could be dirty/blocked? if not then it's a new pump, probably not too expensive but you do need them!

the tach could also be the fuse, if it's intact then try taking it out for a day then put it back..... it worked for me  :laugh:

I think the tacho runs from a connection to the coil so i would check that as well.

And if you mean the washer jets aren't heating up, i wouldn't worry about it! It's prob a cracked wire and they are not essential.

cheers for the replys, yes what i mean is the heated bit works, if thy are any good and you can still get them i would like some for my leon.

will check fuses on all first
