Title: Standard speakers

Hello,

Does anyone know if the standard speakers in MK 2 Golf GTI 1.8 8v 1990 are coaxial or other?
 If I got a new set of rear speakers could I just disconnect the original wires from the original rear speakers, cut the connectors off and put those blade crimp thinggies on the speaker wire and can I just  slot them straight on to the new speakers blade connectors?

they will be horrible paper cone old skool speakers! you meaning the 6*4 ones either side of the parcel shelf? yeah you can just swap them as you say. if you are after better sound quality you could do with some 6*9's in an acoustic rear shelf
