Im looking at gettin coilovers, i know there is loads to choose from but what is everyone else using? i know you get what you pay for,im not wanting to spend that much really, i see you can get a few of ebay for under 300notes, gmax,j-tec and a few others, dont really want to spend more than that, or should i just get a 40mm lowereing set of uprated shockies!? any help guys/gals
Cheers chris

if your shocks are good, just get eibach springs.
if you need new shocks, try some boge turbos, gaz golds or if you av plenty of coin koni yellows!
only go coilies if you intend to alter the drop often!
-
just had new shocks on it before i got it, so you think i would just get away with lowering springs, only want to go 40mm anyway, was wantnig FK or maybe Gmax, anyone used J-Tec??
-
don't go any more than 40mm on std shocks, you are better off getting sport shocks really. don't buy any springs other than eibach, or possibly h&r.
-
Where is the best place to get springs or lowering kit, only been really looking on the bay

What about these of ebay?? clicky (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/J-Tec-Sports-Suspension-Lowering-Kit-VW-Golf-2-Jetta_W0QQitemZ120132622929QQihZ002QQcategoryZ40192QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem)

you gets what you pay for - I've had a similar set from ebay, good for the money (I'm still running with the shocks!), but IMO you will be better off with Eibach from venommotorsports.
I've also had weitec, and they were kak compared to the eibachs.

Check the higline FK coilovers, i think for £337 (exc vat) is a good price for entry coilovers, and you know with FK u get abit of quality guarrented, im 95% sure these will be what ill be getting.

only buy coilies if you intend to alter ride height frequently though!
These guys on here would av saved me a frotune if I'd listened to them and bought eibach in the first place! But I went through 3 different kits then bought Eibach - Now I'm happy as a pig in s**t!
buy the eibach and upgrade your shocks later

Echo that, if you only want to go 40mm and stick with it don't buy coilovers, the ride you'll get with a budget set of coilovers will be far worse than a good spring/shock combo (Eibach springs with Boge turbo's or Koni shocks)

eibach, or failing that...............eibach. £Â£Ã‚£ but worth every penny.
i doubt i'll ever go back to anything else.

I second, and third that !!
-
i'll forth it.
mine had supersport coilovers on it when i got it - it was loooow but drove like a bag of c**p!!
now sporting a set of koni springs and top adjustable shocks - drives and handles better.
-
We need club discount on Eibach or something !

I'd be up for some of that action
