thats what i'm paying.......22 no ncb (lost 3 years) 1 fault accident passed test in feb 1999 and have pass plus. on mk 2 golf gti 8v...... thats with adrian flux....!
named driver on bro's vr6 for ?75 more..... and my bro with them......
been passed 5 years and ive never seen such s*** speedlimits and roads! ps if i get some money i'll move out of britain and they can shove my visa, national insurance and what ever other legal birth certificate crap up there obeses arse holes! :D ;D
congetsion charge......fat tax whatever next......
........oxygen tax! :o
just because 98%of the uk population are obeses doesnt mean i'am if there fat thats their health problem not mine so why should i suffer paying higher prices to eat fat food...
the kids are confused there either anorexic or obeses.....
talk about sending kids mixed messages these are fcuking stupid..... and the kids are getting asthmatic
abit like the new cars natrualy asthmarated 8v.......not like the forced air people of the last generation!

sounds about right for price?? when i was 17-18 i was drivin cough cough, xr3is astra gtes and rs turbos and my insurance was between ?800 to ?1600, personally id pay more on insurance and drive the real thing like you are doing!!!! ;D
-
Elephant=Admiral. i found that any quote on Elephant was undercut by Admiral, about ?35 every time
-
thats right, elephant IS admiral!! thats who im with for both the policies on the mk4 and mk2 ;D and they are cheaper yes think the quote on the mk2 was ?25 cheaper with admiral ;D
-
Have you tried ringing some of the Insurance companies in the back of Performance VW magazine?
If not you might of found they are cheaper!

I'd just turned 21 when i bought my mk3 16v, got insured fully comp with Elephant for ?743, and had just lost 2 years ncb. Only down side is the ?300 excess! But i do get courtesy cars, breakdown cover etc. and they handled my claim that lost my ncb very well.
I assumed that after i crashed my last car and lost the ncb i would have to get something a bit more sensible so i got a quote for a 1.6mk3 and was shocked to be quoted ?430, so i went up the models getting more and more excited till i got to the GTi 16v, had to stop short of a VR6 cos i couldn't afford one but the quote on that was ?1100, which is not too bad. Maybe next year............

Blue - never heard of sportex, and id rather have a new exhaust.
When ya turn 21 ya insurance drops, and it drops again @ 25.
Oh and Elephant was 85p cheaper than Admiral.
-
elephant has always quoted me dearer than admiral!! mind u i have been with em for 8/9 years so that prob why i still get cheaper quotes than elephant ;D
-
probably different types of quotes...
-
a lad who i know had a sportex on his xr2i...... deep sound......vibrated the house......not loud as such but deep tone......
wether or not there good quality or if they fit right i dont know.......
-
I'm 23 with no ncb after just having had an accident at the beginning of the year, I pay ?750 on a MK3 16v fully comp with elephant, but it only cost me ?40 as I'd only recently taken a policy with them before my accident so they deducted the remainder of my previous policy from the new one.
I rate elephant very highly as they dealt with my claim very quickly and efficiently. Oh and I've always found elephant to be cheaper than Admiral.

young uns should try adrian flux. 21 1ncb ?700 tpft on 1990 16v
