Also how much would i b looking at 4 insurance? i'll b 21 in april!
its it worth me doing this or am i fighting a losing battle! :-[
many thanks in advance

ok, truth is a mark 1 gti altho its old is gonna cost an absolute fortune to insure but u picked the best car there is so do it anyway!. so
a) can u insure it under someone elses name or
b) are u loaded
if u cant do either of the above i reckon u shud go and by a non gti and mod it as best u can afford. im 26 and standard insurance for my mark 1 cab is still nearly a grand. yeh u are fighting a losing battle and it gonna take a few years to insure and get the trust of ncb but check out black gti and dizzie for example, they are young and still driving the car of their dreams!
-
lol none of the above! yeah i thought about getting a non-gti and kitting it up, but it wouldnt b the same its jst not a gti! bah insurance eh an nesscary evil >:(
damn im only an apprentice plumber, ive even jst got myself an part-time job in homebase so u could save up 4 1 of theses puppies
anybody else wanna throw their pennies worth!
btw they say the mk1 is the first fastest and best gti VW ever made, wot do u guys reckon?!

Wow jst went on Eagle Star online and their quote was ?1,110 a year for an 1983 mk1 golf gti! i can cope wiv that!!!
-
hi mate, i was just going to say why don't you get some quotes, you never know. elephant.co.uk are pretty good for 'standard' cars
back to your question, a grand will get you a decent enough mk1. up towards 2 grand for a good A reg 'campaign' one.
'best gti'? don't get people started on that one!!!
good luck :)
-
Don't forget it will also qualify for classic car insurance ;)
Eagle star quoted me a grand more than what I'm paying now, never go with the first quote, or the second, confused.com will sort you out :)
-
thats 4 the advice but sumbody told me u hav 2 be over 25 2 be able 2 get classic car insurance ???
