Title: order new car
Post by: pat1967 on 31 July 2007, 00:09
went to order my new car today, as I walked in could see a bright red brand new un-reg car sitting inside!!.....the though of beating the 3 month wait was too great so i bought it! got the most important extra's 18 " wheels, center console( i-pod too) and rcd500 multi-player. Got over £1000 off and good trade-in.....downside no highline computer, is this gonna be a major problem, starting to worry, should I have waited or is it only a minor detail

it is quite nice to have, you can change settings for lights, door locking etc. but you definately won't miss it if you haven't had it before. I think it can be retro fitted anyway, sure I read a post from someone on here who did it.

If i were to spec out a new GTI, i think £50 for the highline is well worth it. It is certinly not a deal breaker though.
