clutch cable is fairl easy to do, follow cable to clutch you will see it goes in to block, jack the car up and look from underneath, it has like a plate which just unclips with a few bits of rubber to, once this is disconnected u then need to goto ur clutch pedel and un hook it from there and feed it through into ur engine bay, old one out new one in but in reverse order, hope it makes sense and helps, not a hard job to do

I'd also recommend going for the non-auto adjusting type..........cheaper and more reliable.

Hey Rik I meant to ask, what happened to your old Golf? Siezed crank or something? Why did that happen? Lack of oil?

just had the clutch cable replaced its an auto adjusting one.  The thing is that the 91 8v is a bit edgy when you lift the clutch the car vibrates a little, feels strange and i've noticed that selecting gear is more stiff than usual.

anybody got any ideas cause i cant think of anything ???
