I have an amp, and want to install some front component speakers. Can anyone recomend any good ones that fit, I have the Autoleads adaptors. Would like to stick to Kenwood of possible as all the other ICE is kenwood.

have you any idea what size the speakers are? and by the autoleads adaptors do you mean the speaker pod things?
-
yes, the speaker pod things! they take 6.5" or 165mm speakers.
Cheers

in terms of other brands infinity, alpine, JL are normally a safe bet
how have you routed your wires mate? i want to get an amp in mine but don't want wires all over the place (mines a 5 door though)
-
routing the wires will be a big pain in your behind I think. It was in my mk3 anyway.
Unless you fancy losing the connector block in the doors and rewiring each wire one at a time then your going to have some issues!
That is of course, if its anything like my MK3, I would have thought it would be even harder because as time goes on, in general, fitting car audio is being made harder by car manufacturers

Haven't wired it yet so will have that headache to come! Mine is 5 door also so I will have to have a go and see. Need the speakers first though. Wired in speakers in the back no trouble, but these run straight off the head unit so no amp to worry about! If anyone has any ideas........

be interested to know how you do it.
the components you could run off the head unit eg use the wires already there, however you still need to route power and audio to the amps / subs which i'm guessing you'll have in the boot.

iv got 6" components in my car, running off an amp, i removed the speaker wires from the loom (that goes to head unit) as these wires go throgh the door and used an adaptor to attach the speaker. the amp has the audio cable from the head unit.
if u need help pm me, as this might not be any good

I have done a fewinstalls in my Mk4. I would advise that you actually amp up the factory speakers first, as they are better than you think!
