Title: gearshift bushes

good moaning all

i phoned my local helpfull(ahem)vw dealer to enquire about a gaershift bush kit and he said no such thing exists for a mk 2 gti is he talking bollocks or should i phone back and appologise
do i have to buy each and every bush seperate

had a look at mine it looks like the one will throw a bid on that at the last minute and see what happens

you can buy a bush kit for where all the connecting rods connect together, phone up people like volkspares if you get no joy with your main stealer

I went to G & S to get gear shift bushes which clip int place along shift rods and took about 10 mins to do.. mtook up a bit of slack from the gear lever , thankyou very much ;D

i just got the kits from german & swedish. you need 2 kits, one is loads of little bushings and the other that ball and cup thing in the above picture and it was about ?15 for the two kits. its worth getting one of those weighted shift rods and fitting it with the other bits.

That kit is available from VW, well it was in November of last year.  Its not called a gear linkage repair kit tho, I can get you guys a part number off it if you're interested?

Ok repair kit part number is: 191 711 115 D  Remember if you buy from VAG you get a year garauntee :)

id be interested to know the price of the kit

The kit I have is the same as the one at the begining of the thread by BlueMK2, and it isn't a gear linkage repair kit, its called a gearlever or gearhousing repair kit I think.

I'm going to go for a full MissinglinkZ repair kit when I eventually get round to sorting out my gear linkage:
