Title: Upgrading master cylinder & servo in my MK1 Gti
Post by: G60GTI16V on 28 July 2007, 20:15
Hi all i read up some info i am wanting to upgrade my cylinder and servo to a mkII 16v one. the info i found was:

Get the Larger master cylinder ( 22mm ) and servo from the 16v or a passat.

This bolts more or less into place, you may need to space the Servo out a bit more on the bracket than the original mk1 item, a few washers/around 4mm will be fine.
You will also need to T peice the brake lines, this is no big issue.

What, how and where do i T piece ow and where can i get brake pipe T pieces from, do unipart or any other service parts supplier have them or are these specialst sellers only?

This T piece business part is the bit i need details of so i can go ahead with the upgrade.  :undecided:

Any people got any pictures or info please i would be very grateful.  :nerd:

Many thanks vag heads!
Dan
