Title: Rear seat cover???
Post by: RKett 16v on 20 February 2004, 22:39
I've just picked up some late spec corrado cloth seats, front and rears. I've put the fronts in and they look well sweet. I've had a look at the rears but want to get them fitted well and possibly weld in new brackets to make it a propper job. I was wondering if anyone new of any companies that do a rear seat cover(in black cloth material) i can use for a while untill i can face doin the corrado rear bench so that the interior doesnt look odd for a while? or will it just be the case of getting a universal one from halfords for a while?

Why not do it the bodge way so you can get the seats in in the short term, then do it proper later?   All you need is to remove the existing locking studs and replace with long bolts and sleeves from BnQ. The base fits straight in no mods required.

Yeah could do-ive already put them in to try them out but i want to get them spot on-bit of a perfectionist really. I want to make sum decent brackets so the seats will drop forward too. The problem with this is that the car has been fully dynamatted and is a pain to get up around the area where i need to measure and scribe for the reat barckets!! Dont want to rush it for the sake of it. Would it be ok for the MOT if i were just to use extended bolts?? ???

I wouldn't have thought so, but I'm not an MOT tester so I wouldn't know for sure.  It depends where you take it, some are really anal and some arn't, my dads old MK2 1.3 passed its MOT twice even though one of the bolts was missing!

Sods law tho, when he put it in for the last MOT so he could sell the car they failed him for it :)
