Yeah but you have traffic police with hand-held cameras waiting around bends as I drove past one when in Gibraltar... luckily I was 'behaving myself'

lol local police...we all drive past them  They dont really do much but can get really really annoying at times lol. In Gib it is illegal to have window tints for some reason....thats one fine example

Illegal.... Never

My dad has that stuff on his bikes and when we travel we spray it on the car. It wipes off and works a dream. Going to take the Golf up the Garden route in August(600km drive) so will def be using that stuff ha ha ha

Someone told me that the new style reversible cameras don't flash though, thats what i was told atleast (don't really want to test the theory)

How the hell would it work at night if it didn't flash?

Also how could the police "in car camera" pick it up? Wouldnt it need to flash you to see that you have it on?

with an infra red light

EDIT:

these are the ones we have round my way

http://www.speedcamerasuk.com/Truvelo.htm

Quote
To avoid the 'flash' which is given out by a rear facing Gatso camera the Truvelo system uses an infra red flash which produces no visible 'flash' to the approaching driver.

Specs (average speed) don't use a flash either

also it won't make a difference with the digital speed cameras

anyone see Top Gear where they tried to beat a speed camera? think the only way was to drive past one at about 160MPH +

I thought the new ones were able to capture faster speeds than that.
