I can't actually believe that my car went straight through!
The only advisories it got were: the blue led doesn't come on the dash when full beam is on and an intermittent oil light flashing. Both of those are only because the clocks are dead though, i'm well chuffed!
I had just changed the front discs and pads, and as i wasn't insured i took it out for a little run down my cul-de-sac and the brakes were non-existant. I was hoping they just hadn't bedded in but they were seriously bad. Anywho, the mot guy came and picked up the car and apparently by the time he got to the station they were fine!
Question now is, do i sell it or keep it and get rid of the A-reg one!?

 I hope some of your luck comes my way!
I am just about to look at last years advisories before this years MOT in September. I have various split bushes to attack inc. rear beam.
btw, I have just fitted brembo grooved discs and EBC greenstuff pads from GSF and was surprised how well the brakes performed from the start.

cant beat it when that happens... always go to mot thinking the worse... then if it passes straight through its a bit of a buzz....

Exactly what happened!
I also got a uni exam result on the same day, and unfortunately i didn't pass it. Although for some reason the MOT result kind of helped!

A bit off topic but how does everyone find greenstuffs compared to Pagid Fast Road's on mk2's?
I had some pagid's on my mk3 16v and they were superb, generated a lot of brake dust though which was the only downside.
Any comments would be welcome.

My previous set up was zimmerman x-drilled and pagid fast road. I thought this was good and I agree - lots of brake dust! So far I am happy with the brembo / EBC gs combo, but I have not tried too hard yet coz I am giving them a few hundred miles to bed in. So far, overall performance feels comparable and gives the same or marginally less brake dust
