Title: Reverse Light Switch

Hi, I have a Mk3 Golf 1.4 and I think the reverse light switch has gone. Anyone know where it is located?!

i have a gti, don't know wether its the same, but if you look down into the engine bay from th top - on top of the gearbox, there are two nuts, about 10cm apart, its the one closest to the windscreen.

would it be the same reverse switch on GTi? Theres a GTi at the local scrappy with one on but i didnt wanna buy it in case it didnt match!

Should be, wouldn't imagine it would cost a great deal. Saying that i went through two at scrappy, till i found one that worked!

Switch cost me about £9 new last time i bought one.....why buy used??

Well i went to the 2 local motor parts companies and one doesnt stock electrical parts, and the other wants £20+vat and 2 days wait for them to order it! So i thought £3 at the scrappy would be better!
