Title: Noisy Engine

I got a 2.0 8v engine and on acceleration it sound like a diesel  :shocked: it's quite loud aswell, like a wurring, only does it on acceleration! Any ideas cos it's driving me mad  :huh: ??

Change the oil and filter to try and cure noisy engine - mind they are noisy anyways.
Whirring noise - wheel bearing, pump bearing,  pulley bearing, any belt somewhere or could even be gearbox - get a (proper) mechanic....
