Or this one.. ?

The first one, are Mk3 bumpers which have just been smoothed to do away with the indicators/fogs/blanks, and also the recess running the width of the bumper. You can do this yourself if you are confident enough, and if you are not just approach a decent bodyshop who will do the work for you. There is a thread lurking somewhere on the forum about how to smooth the bumpers yourself.
Second one is a Mk4 front end, and you are talking a lot more hard work and money to achieve that look.
Hope that helps mate

Hey mate, ye im lukin for the second picture kinda look, can i get a ready made front bumper like that?
-
Bumper in that pic is a Mk4 Golf Bumper, and can be had anywhere really (breaker/dealer). Now I am not clued up on how you would go about modding the Mk3 to take a Mk4 front end, but at the least you are looking at Mk4 Bumper, Lights, Modification to the front panel to take the lights, Modifications to the wings also. It's a lot of work, and then you would have to either smooth out the rear also or buy a Mk4 look bumper which can be had at AwesomeGTi to get the same look. And you should end up with something like this...

Entirely upto you mate which way you go, but me personally..
I would just smooth the front and rear bumpers of the Mk3 if you are after a cleaner look. Just don't think the Mk3 pulls off the Mk4 bumpers all to well to be honest, but that's just my opinion and and not gospel

Cheers mate reeli appreciate it, r u on msn? i was wondering is there any vw fests or shows coming up?

I think the 1st pic is better, i was thinking of changing my front end to look like a mk4 but in all honesty i think mk3s look crap with mk4 bumpers on and it would be cheaper to sell up and buy a mk4
I sold my Mint silver mk4 GTI 1.8 a few months ago with 60,000 miles on the clock for £3800 and bought a mk3 cabrio for £3100 and by the time i'v made it look how i want it i will be well over 4k so you see what i mean
Starting to wish i just kept the mk4
